Clinton Portis having Pro-Bowl season halfway home

Washington Redskin running back Clinton Portis is having one of the best NFL seasons of his career. Halfway through the NFL season, he is just 5 yards away from 1000 on the NFL Football season. The 5`11 221pound back out of Miami, has 995 yards on the year on 200 attempts. He currently is on pace for 1,769 yards, and is currently averaging 5.0 yards per carry. He has 5 consecutive games of rushing at least 120 yards, which is second in NFL history behind O.J. Simpson. His success has been credited for his tough work ethic he does in the off-season, of running up and down stadium steps, to build big, durable legs. Whatever works for him is working for the Redskins this year! Look for him in Hawaii at the end of the year.
