Former Redskin LaVar Arrington blasts Joe Gibbs
Can`t we all just get along? Former Washington Redskin LaVar Arrington took serious jabs at former Redskin legend coach, Joe Gibbs. Arrington whose career ended with the New York Giants, said that he called Joe Gibbs a coward for leaving. “You came in, you made some money for your NASCAR team. No one else is going to say that.” Arrington also stated that “There are a lot of people who know what went down with me and the Redskins.” After Arrington`s suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon injury that ended his NFL Football career, he opened up a sports bar in Maryland which he still runs today.
Arrington said that owner Daniel Snyder “Won`t look me in the eye.” He also said that he tried to reach out to Snyder after the death of Sean Taylor, but Snyder brushed him off. Arrington says that he still pulls for Washington because his love for the fans outweighs how the Redskins organization treated him. Arrington finished his career with 411 tackles and 23.5 sacks in 85 NFL games.
