Redskins must continue trend against Steelers
The Washington Redskins play the Pittsburgh Steelers at Fed Ex Field Monday night, for the first time in Washington in 20 years. The Steelers have won the last 3 games against the ‘Skins, but those games were in Pittsburgh. In order for Washington to win, they must continue to have superior play from field general Jason Campbell, and running back Clinton Portis. Campbell is having the best year of his career, and getting better every week. He has thrown 8 td`s, with 0 picks, for a q.b. rating of 100.5 good for 5th in NFL Football this season.
Portis, just halfway through the season has almost surpassed the 1000 yard mark, with 944 yards and 7 touchdowns. However, he will face a much tougher defense Monday in Pittsburgh, who is allowing just 71.6 yards rushing per game, good for 5th best in NFL Football this year. Pittsburgh on the other hand has been struggling trying to keep Ben Roethlisberger from getting sacked. Since losing Alan Faneca to the N.Y. Jets in free agency, the Steelers o-line has allowed 23 sacks-that`s the 5th most in NFL Football this year. It should be a great game to watch Monday night, as neither team can afford to lose!!!
