Giants handle Redskins at Fed Ex Field…
photo credit: S.³ The N.Y. Giants easily defeated the Washington Redskins 23-7 Sunday at Fed Ex Field. The Redskins fell behind 13- 0 in the first half, before rookie Devin Thomas scored on a double reverse to make the score 13-7 at the half. Washington`s lackluster offense was evident. Clinton Portis, who came in leading the NFL in rushing, finished the game with 11 carries for 22 yards. That`s far from his standards, although he is fighting a sprained knee and did suffer a sprained neck in the game.
The Giants made the score 20-7, when Brandon Jacobs had a 1-yard touchdown run with 8:33 left in the third quarter. They would add a field goal later to make it 23-7 and Washington would not score again. Washington must do something to jump start their offense immediately. The season is nearly over and any more losses almost ends their season! Jason Campbell had a decent game, but it just seems like something is missing. He is not hooking up with Santana Moss like he was earlier in the year.
