Washington`s Samuels lost for the year
The Washington Redskins did more than lost a game Sunday to Baltimore. They lost 5-time Pro-Bowler Chris Samuels to a torn triceps injury, for the rest of the year. He came out in the last quarter of the Redskins`s 24-10 loss to the Ravens and didn`t return. Coach Jim Zorn said “He has a 50 percent tear in the triceps tendon.”
Samuels in his ninth year out of Alabama, will be missed severely at left tackle for Washington. Speaking of Redskins tackles, Jon Jansen left the Baltimore game in the first half with a sprained left knee. Washington is waiting on the results of his MRI to determine the damage. With Samuels gone for the year and Jansen`s status in doubt, Washington is in deep with injuries. They currently sit in last place at 7-6 in the NFC East.
