Let`s take a look at the decent year that a few of our favorite Washington Redskins had. We missed the playoffs, but at least we didn`t go 0-16 like the Detroit Lions did. There were big wins over Dallas at Dallas and we swept the Eagles. Like the old saying, there`s always next year.

Jason Campbell improved greatly this year. He finished with 13 touchdowns and only 6 interceptions, yet still threw for over 3,000 yards with a star running back in Clinton Portis. The only downfall to all of this is that he was sacked 38 times. If given more time, I think he could have thrown for at least 4,000 yards.

Speaking of Clinton Portis, he finished with 1,487 yards rushing on 342 attempts and 9 touchdowns. Playing hurt a good bit of the season, Portis toughed it out for the better of the team. That is what a true player and a team first player is all about. I look for Portis to have another Pro Bowl season next year with a lot of off-season rest.

Finally, receiving leader Santana Moss ended the season with 79 catches and over 1,000 yards receiving, to go along with 6 touchdowns. Moss made some great plays for Washington this season in key moments. This wasn`t all bad for the Redskins in 2008, with a rookie coach and some better plays here and there we could of made the playoffs.
